Franklin Sussex AutoMall shows support for troops stationed overseas with packages

Sussex Franklin Sussex AutoMall is showing its support and gratitude to our brave troops serving overseas by teaming with Operation Gratitude to raise money for the shipment of holiday care packages. General Manager Bill Snouffer announced that Franklin Sussex AutoMall raised more than $11,500 for Operation Gratitude, whose charter is to send a little bit of home to the thousands of troops stationed throughout the world. The dealership raised the money by donating $100 for every car sold during November to the organization. In addition to the generous monetary contribution, the dealership opened its doors to Operation Gratitude and served as a drop-off point for concerned citizens and local companies who prepared their own care packages for the troops. Typical care packages include letters, food, personal care products, music and any other items in which the soldiers can find comfort at this time of year. “The Holiday Season is a very stressful time for troops, as thoughts of home and family tug hard on their hearts,” said Snouffer. “Receiving a care package from home reminds them that they are not forgotten and that their dangerous work is greatly appreciated.” Operation Gratitude sends packages to members of all military branches deployed anywhere in the world. To date, packages have been sent to Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Korea, Africa, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Guantanamo Bay and ships in international waters. The initiative is funded through private, tax-deductible donations from patriotic citizens, foundations and corporations. All contents for the packages are donated by individuals on their own or through collection drives organized by schools, civic or religious groups and businesses. Franklin Sussex AutoMall’s participation in Operation Gratitude solidifies the dealership’s position as the premier community-conscious North Jersey auto dealer. It regularly provides events that entertain and educate, from Monster Truck Crushes and Animal “Safari Day” with a petting zoo, to Child Digital Fingerprinting and AutoMall “Idol” competitions.
