Fredon — Fredon Elementary School celebrated Mix It Up Day at lunch on October 18. Students were able to move out of their comfort zones and cross social boundaries by sitting with peers that they would not normally sit with. Students came to lunch and received a colored piece of paper that belonged to a corresponding table. The students then read the popsicle sticks on their table that had questions on them. They were encouraged to talk and ask questions to get to know fellow students. Music was also playing and there was a drawing held for prizes. The day was successful and exciting. According to the event's organizers, the students really got into the activities by mismatching their outfits and adding crazy, fun accessories in order to celebrate their own uniqueness.
