Free talk on healthcare careers

    Newton — A free seminar about careers in healthcare will be offered to teens and adults on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. Dr. Michelle O’Shea and nurse practitioner Sharon St. Angelo will be joined by surgical technician Christine Slater and occupational therapist Michelle Mahoney in a discussion of their background, education and the tasks that accompany their professions. Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Healthcare Careers” will focus on positions throughout the medical profession, including those offered in hospitals, doctor’s offices and rehabilitation centers. Registration is required.
