Friends of Hospice elects new officers, announces upcoming events

    Newton — The Friends of Hospice are an ancillary group of volunteers committed to raising funds and awareness of the services provided by Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice. The annual events they organize and facilitate include: • The Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Wine and Cheese festival, this year to be held Sunday, September 23, at the Waterwheel Farm, Fredon • The Annual Harley Davidson Raffle, drawn on New Year’s Day. Tickets are available throughout the year for $20 each with sales limited to 2000. • The Annual High Tea for Hospice held each February at the Tea Hive in Fredon. • Dental Day for Hospice, hosted by Dr. Tirpack and Sparta Dental Designs each November. The Friends of Hospice meet at 4:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month, at the Hospice Office, located at 99 Sparta Ave, Newton. New members are always welcome. Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice is compassionately dedicated to providing assistance for the terminally ill and bereavement for those who have lost loved ones.
