Girl Scouts raise money through questions
Lenape - Have you ever wished you had a penny for every time you looked something up on the internet? Well, Girl Scouts: Lenni-Lenape Council, Inc. has partnered with GoodSearch, an internet search engine, to earn money for its organization. In one month, GSLLC has already raised nearly $13. GoodSearch, powered by Yahoo, donates half of its advertising revenue, about one cent per search, to charitable organizations, which do not pay to join the Web site. GoodSearch users can now select GSLLC as their charity of choice and earn a penny for the council each time they search. The amount of money raised by the GoodSearch effort has no limit. If 100 supporters search the internet twice a day, GSLLC will earn $730 per year. The more supporters who select GSLLC as their charity, the more money it will earn. “Goodsearch.com is a pioneer in its efforts to help raise funds for Girl Scouts: Lenni-Lenape Council, Inc. and other charitable organizations. We will be able to raise hundreds without spending a dime,” said Betty Garger, Chief Executive Officer of GSLLC. “The money raised will go to providing more quality programs and exciting activities for nearly 17,000 members in northern New Jersey.” Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
