Girl Scouts shower soldiers

Lenni-Lenape Girl Scout Brownie Troop 850, of Stanhope, collected three large boxes of personal items with which to “shower” the soldiers in Iraq. The girls donated items such as toothpaste, shampoo, wipes, candy, and soap for the soldiers. They also included bubbles and small stuffed animals for the soldiers to hand out to the children of Iraq affected by the war. Lenni-Lenape Council Girl Scouts builds courage, confidence and character, in girls who make the world a better place, serving 11,000 Scouts in 61 municipalities in Passaic, Sussex, Bergen, Morris and Warren counties. Through the many enriching experiences provided, Scouts discover, lead, and take action. For more information about Girl Scouting, call 973-248-8200 or visit its Web site at www.gsllc.org.
