'Haunted hayride' raises $ for charities

NEWTON - The Student Government Association of Sussex County Community College hosted their annual haunted hayride Oct. 28. The free event was open to the public, and over 300 people enjoyed an evening of pre-Halloween festivities. Over $200 in donations were accepted on behalf of the Byram Animal Rescue and Kindness Squad and the Children’s Miracle Network.
