Sparta —New Image Body Center has announced that its annual Thanksgiving drive will assist Sussex County families in need through the Project Self-Sufficiency charitable organization. Colleen Boyle and Vicki Vara, the owners of New Image Body Center, have rallied the studio’s staff and members to the cause. The community is encouraged to join in the spirit of giving by donating food items such as boxed potatoes or stuffing, canned vegetables, canned cranberries, pies, rolls and juice. Items should be dropped off at the fitness studio, 53B Sparta Ave., no later than Wednesday, Nov. 15. “New Image has had a wonderful response from the community every year to our annual charity drives, both from members and non-members,” stated Boyle. “Each year we’ve been able to give more, and this year we’ve set a bold goal to benefit 100 families at Thanksgiving through our collaboration with Project Self-Sufficiency.” Project Self-Sufficiency aims to improve the lives of low-income families, helping them to achieve personal and economic self-sufficiency for themselves and their children. “New Image Body Center is very excited to partner with Project Self-Sufficiency for this Thanksgiving effort,” added Vara. “This charitable outreach is in keeping with the culture of our business - caring for the health and well-being of others.” New Image Body Center, Sparta’s Premier Fitness Studio for Men and Women, was established in 1999. The studio, offering personal training, reformer pilates, spinning, group fitness classes and yoga, is newly located at 53 Sparta Ave. For information, call 973-729-2002.
