Byram students bid farewell to their balloons last week. The students released the balloons with letters and envelopes attached to them after reading the book “Where Do Balloons Go.” The letters asked the recipients to return the envelope with a note telling the students how far their balloon had traveled. The first-graders, who released their balloons the previous week, already received responses, one from as far away as Milltown, some 45 miles from Byram. The class project included children in first and second grades.
