Sparta — The students at Hilltop Country Day School in the fourth grade classes of Janet Vigeland and Eric Bartholomew presented a check for $390 to Cheryl Monteleone, a representative from the Byram Animal Rescue Kindness Squad, Inc. The students made holiday gift bags for family pets, filled with milk bones, cat food and bird seed with name tags and ribbon, and sold them at school for $3 a bag. They worked in an assembly line manner in putting together the bags, prior to the sale. All of the proceeds from the project were donated to BARKS.
