Holding court

Daeon Troutman, a nine-year-old student at Matheny Medical and Educational Center, clearly enjoyed a visit by Delbarton School head basketball coach, Dan Whalen, a Byram resident. Whalen brought the varsity basketball team to the special hospital and special education school in Peapack, for children and adults with multiple developmental disabilities. The basketball players helped out with some recreation therapy activities, interacted with the students and patients and distributed school T-shirts. Delbarton is an independent college preparatory school in Morristown.
