Hospice schedules teen support

    Newton - Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice in conjunction with the Joseph T. Quinlan Bereavement Center offers a teen bereavement support group which meets four times per year. The meetings for 2007 are scheduled to begin Monday, March 19 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice in Newton at 99 Sparta Ave from 6 to 8 p.m. Teens that have experienced the loss of a loved one are able to take part in sessions led by Diana Sebzda, MA, LAC, CT, Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice’s Director of Bereavement, and Lori Opitz MA. The sessions provide coping strategies through understanding and compassionate group discussions, as well as methods that include journaling and art. Pizza is served, and pre-registration is necessary. The fee is $10 per meeting. Call 973-383-0115 to register or for more information. The remaining sessions are scheduled for June 4, Oct. 22, and Dec. 3.
