Hospital sponsors ‘Car Safety Seat Checkup'

Newton — Newton Memorial Hospital is offering a "Car Safety Seat Checkup" from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, at the Newton Town Garage on Moran Street, near Memory Park in Newton. Certified technicians from local police departments will be on hand for those who are concerned whether their child's car seat is improperly used or installed, or who have not had their child's car seat installation checked by an expert. The technicians will to offer assistance and expertise, and make it possible for parents and other interested caregivers of children to check the installation use, size and safety of the child's seat.
