Interest in knitting on the rise

Franklin Borough School recently formed its very own knitting club for interested fifth and sixth grade students, organized by Dr. Pat Pfeil, principal of the school. The students enjoy learning how to knit, while eating lunch together several days each week. As a first project, the knitters made scarves for the cold weather. They are now completing a service project and knitting special blankets for animals in a shelter. Once a child learns the basic knit and purl stitches, the possibilities for creative fun are endless.
