Karate team win awards

Standing with Sensei Ghandi Kadkoy are memebers of his award-winning karate team from the International Koei-Kan Karate-Do Championship, displaying their trophies and medals. Members from the Sussex county YMCA Karate team competed in the tournament in kata, kumite and bogu. With 24 students from his dojo attending the competition, Sensei Kadkoy had the largest team competing in the event. Of those who competed in the tournament, seven were first-place winners, six placed second, four placed third and seven placed fourth. Missing from the photo are Michael D’Ebelle and Renay Ebelle.
