Newton - Paul Sensale, a senior at Kittatinny Regional High School, has been recognized for his poetic talents. Two of his pems, “Untitled” and “World’s War,” have been published in Teen Ink Magazine’s Poetry Journal, a publication that reaches high schools and junior high schools throughout the country. The Poetry Journal, a more selective publication, is distributed three times a year and is an offshoot of the monthly Teen Ink. “It just feels good to be recognized for my work the same way an artist feels when his art is bought at an auction,” said Sensale, adding that he writes “when it feels right.” Jennifer Gialanella, creative writing teacher at the school, said, “I’m so proud of Paul. He is an excellent writer and a creative thinker. These poems are the first of many to be published for Paul. I’m sure of it!” Asked to name a favorite poet who inspires him, Sensale replied, “I don’t have a favorite poet. I think everyone is a poet. Whether that poet keeps his work to himself or shares it is the only difference.”
