Kittatinny students tour New York City garment district

Newton - The advanced clothing arts students at Kittatinny Regional High School recently visited New York City’s garment district. A r epresentative from designer Betsey Johnson, and Gail Garrison of Gail Garrison Designs, met with the students and gave tours of their showrooms. The students learned about the various careers they could pursue in the fashion industry. Lisa Kesselman of Kesselman Manufacturing showed them how trimmings are made and gave them a tour of a garment manufacturing facility. The students also visited Mood Fabrics, one of the largest fabric stores on the East Coast, and the Fashion Institute of Technology Museum.
