Newton — Future Business Leaders of America members at Kittatinny Regional High School visited the International Trade Center, in Mount Olive, in recognition of American Enterprise Day. The Nov. 15 excursion allowed students to experience behind-the-scenes activities at several companies located in the center. The stop at Quest International enabled FBLA members to learn about the development of flavors and scents used in a variety of products. A tour of the facilities gave students a chance to see the development stages and storage of goods. Afterward, students gained insight into the education required for the various jobs within the company. Through a seminar at the Rockefeller Group Development Corporation, students learned about the foreign trade zone, its benefits, and careers in real estate. The tour ended with a visit to the Wyndham Garden Hotel where students learned about the hospitality industry and toured the kitchen, housekeeping areas, and a standard hotel room.
