Hope - Dads who come to the Land of Make Believe in Hope on Father’s Day, June 18, will be admitted free ... so long as they are accompanied by a child. This year marks the 53rd season since the park’s inception in 1954. The family amusement park has a long-standing tradition of “free” Father’s Day admission. Land of Make Believe is designed specifically for parent interactive participation with their children. This year, the park has added two new rides, “Pirate’s Plunge” and “Jump Around Frog.” In addition to the numerous rides and attractions, the park features a live interactive experience, the Middle Earth Theatre. Land of Make Believe is situated in a 30-acre valley on a converted dairy farm, minutes away from Exit 12 on Route 80. The award-winning park offers visitors a combination of rides, shows, attractions, on-site picnicking, and special experiences, including an 1863 Civil War train and an old-fashioned hayride. Admission is $20 for children (2-18), $18 for adults and $16 for seniors. The price includes parking, unlimited access to all rides, attractions and shows, and admission to the Pirate’s Cove Waterpark. The park is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For information, call 908 459-9000 or log on to LOMB.com.
