Local builder receives dual awards from Association
MORRIS PLAINS Weichert New Homes has recognized Mike Morel of Morel Builders, LLC, for his second consecutive award wins in two categories from the Community Builders Association of New Jersey. At the Association’s annual awards dinner, held at the Sheraton Parsippany Hotel in June, he was presented with top honors for “Best Single-Family Custom Home priced from $1 million to $1.5 million,” for Franklin Farms in Denville, and “Best Single-Family Custom Home priced from $500,000 to $750,000,” for Country Lane at Andover. These accomplishments come one year after Morel Builders received the Community Builders Association awards for “Best Unfurnished Model Home in a Community” and “Best Single-Family Custom Home, $500,000 to $750,000” for the Chambers model in Country Lane at Andover. As a resident of Andover Township in Sussex County, Mike lives in one of the neighborhoods he created several years ago. By working and living locally, Morel sets himself apart from larger-scale builders, keeping in touch with past and present homeowners personally long after the sale is made. “Everyone knows where I live and how to get in touch with me,” he notes. “I even have a listed phone number.” Morel installs a cornerstone on each new home, engraved with the Morel Builders name and inception date, an indication of the obvious pride he takes in his work by literally putting his name on every residence.
