NEWTON — Kathy Esposito has recently joined Project Self suffiency’s Board of Directors. A graphic designer and servicing consultant at the local branch of the Jostens Company, Esposito works full time alongside her husband, Lou, at the family-owned business. The couple met while in college at Purdue University and joined the business simultaneously upon graduation. Nineteen years later, they are still working together, while raising four children and striving to make the community a better place. Project Self-Sufficiency is a local non-profit organization which helps low-income families in northwestern New Jersey to attain economic self-sufficiency and family stability. “We are thrilled to welcome Kathy to the Board of Directors at Project Self-Sufficiency,” said Bev Gordon, President of the Board of Directors. “Kathy’s creativity, business acumen and commitment to the families we serve will help to guide the agency through its 25th anniversary year and into the future.” Kathy and Lou have already helped to coordinate several fundraising events at the agency, including serving as co-chairpersons of Project Self-Sufficiency’s popular “A Taste of Talent” last spring. Kathy is currently involved in preparing for Project 250, the event which will kick off the year-long celebration of Project Self-Sufficiency’s 25th year of service to low-income families. “I am honored to have been asked to join the Board of Directors at Project Self-Sufficiency,” said Esposito. “I’m glad to be a part of helping to run an already well-run organization. I am looking forward to helping wherever I am needed.” In addition to her involvement with Project Self-Sufficiency, Esposito is active in the Historical Societies for both Sussex County and Byram Township, she is President of the Mothers Co-op of Byram, and she serves on the Friends of Football Board for Pope John XXIII High School. Esposito graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Communications.
