Local elected president of state chapter of American Society of Landscape Architects

    Hamburg — Scott A. Levy, Principal of Scott Alan Design, Inc., Landscape Architects with offices in Hamburg, has been elected President of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Levy has over 19 years’ experience in landscape architectural design on various and diverse projects from residential, commercial and institutional developments, to health care and educational facilities for the public and private sectors, as well as providing consulting services to municipalities. He is a graduate of the College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University. He holds professional licenses in New York and New Jersey. Levy has lectured for various professional and local organizations. He was also an instructor for the New York Botanical Gardens and Cook College at Rutgers University. As President of the state chapter, Levy will endeavor to promote public knowledge of the work and profession of Landscape Architecture. He plans to accomplish this by establishing and promoting outreach and visibility programs, and encouraging members to become more involved on a local level with their communities. Founded in 1899, the American Society of Landscape Architects is the national professional association for landscape architects, representing more than 17,000 members in 48 professional chapters and 68 student chapters.
