Local Girl Scouts help Macy's fundraiser
LENAPE - Girl Scouts: Lenni-Lenape Council, Inc. (GSLLC) has announced it will take part in Macy’s Shop for a Cause Day on September 16, 2006 from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Macy’s across the nation. To take part in the event, shoppers may purchase a $5 ticket from GSLLC, good for 20 percent off of most store merchandise and 10 percent off most electronic and household items. Tickets purchased from GSLLC can be used at any Macy’s. All proceeds from ticket sales will be used by GSLLC to continue bringing the Girl Scout experience to girls in Bergen, Morris, Sussex, Warren, and Passaic counties. Shoppers will enjoy an additional $10 coupon for every $50 they spend when they support Macy’s Shop for a Cause Day. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Macy’s for such a positive cause. This is a mutually beneficial relationship. We appreciate the local support and will continue to provide exceptional service to the girls we serve,” said Betty Garger, Chief Executive Officer of GSLLC. Tickets may be purchased until 9/13/06 at the Girl Scout Service Center, 95 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, NJ 07457 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday or via mail. To order tickets by mail, enclose a self addressed stamped envelope and $5 per ticket to the address above. Mail orders must be postmarked by 9/9/06.
