Newton Medical Center Foundation’s Ambassadors’ Club announces $25,000 goal in support of this year’s Capital Campaign NEWTON — The Newton Medical Center Ambassadors’ Club recently hosted a private tour and reception for current and prospective members of the club. The evening began with a welcoming introduction by Jim Furgeson, Director of Business Development and Physician Relations for Newton Medical Center (NMC), followed by an informative tour of the new facility upgrades currently happening at the center. During the tour, the group viewed the recently opened MRI Suite which houses a brand new wide-bore MRI that delivers both remarkable image quality and high productivity. In addition, the group saw plans for renovations to several areas including the Physical and Occupational Therapy Unit and the addition of 22 private in-patient beds. “The club was started last year and already has 50 members," said Dana Sabatino, chair of the Ambassadors’ Club. "Our group is made up of volunteers who are committed to raising awareness and building support for Newton Medical Center and the Foundation. Our group is unique – with limited time as busy parents, professionals and volunteers, we want to support our community hospital while also having fun. The Ambassadors’ Club is the perfect avenue for anyone in our community who wants to socialize, meet new people and learn more about the incredible services that Newton Medical Center has to offer.” With the club’s formation, a leadership team was established to set goals and build membership within the Ambassadors' Club. The leadership team members are Dana Sabatino, Dana Nolan, Debra Masterson, Jacqueline Snellings, Joanne Dispenziere, Kelly Sullivan, Tracy Gibbins-Okeson, Wendy Buccino and Megan Sandow, Chief Development Officer of the Newton Medical Center Foundation. Nolan announced the club’s commitment to raise $25,000 for this year’s Capital Campaign. “It is our hope to raise enough money to sponsor the Family Waiting Roomin the all new private in-patient unit," said Nolan.
