— Brett Conrads, a resident of Andover Borough and a 2014 graduate of Newton High School, recently finished a half year internship with the 24th legislative district office of state Sen. Steve Oroho, Assemblyman Hal Wirths, and Assemblyman Parker Space, all Republicans. While an intern at the office, Brett was tasked with important objectives such as researching potential bills, attending meetings on current issues facing the district and state of NJ, constituent casework, and a wide variety of other responsibilities as well. More specifically, Brett worked alongside the NJ Department of Corrections, the NJ Board of Public Utilities, the Sussex County Board of Elections, and the Office of Legislative Services on projects concerning the 24th district which covers Sussex County, and parts of Warren and Morris counties. As part of the internship, Brett frequently attended Senate Voting Sessions at the State Capitol Complex, and worked alongside current NJ Governor Phil Murphy following the March winter storms.
