Byram Scout completes Eagle project refurbishing school Zen Zone

Byram. Jeffrey Allen led a team of more than 30 volunteers to refurbish the Zen Zone at Byram Intermediate School, completing his Eagle Scout service project with about 145 hours of work and major donations including couches and an ottoman from Suburban Furniture.

Jeffrey Allen of Troop 276 recently completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by refurbishing the Zen Zone at Byram Intermediate School.

The Zen Zone is an indoor space where students who do not participate in outdoor recess or have specific sensory needs can relax and recharge.

Allen, 16, organized and led the project, handling fundraising, approvals, and execution. More than 30 volunteers contributed approximately 145 hours of work.

Major donations included three couches and an ottoman from Suburban Furniture
