Clothes donations help high school band

Stanhope — The Lenape Valley Instrumental Music Association collected 5200 lbs. of clothing donations from the community February 8 – 11 via a program called Clean Out for a Cause. Donations were weighed and purchased by Millennium International Textiles. The Association is over $1000 closer to attaining their goal of replacing a $7000 set of chimes in time for the 2018 Lenape Valley Regional High School Marching Band season. The current set of chimes has been repaired several times, but is extremely fragile and fell apart prior to marching onto the 2017 National Competition field.
The Lenape Valley Instrumental Music Association will be holding additional fundraisers in order to purchase the set of chimes and to help provide funding for marching band camp. The Association is hosting a Joan Osborne Benefit Concert April 20 at Lenape Valley Regional High School and another Clean Out for a Cause in June. Lenape Valley Instrumental Music Association is a 501(3)(C) Corporation and donations are tax deductible. Visit www.lvrband.org for the latest events and other ways you can help.
