Fredon girl to represent New Jersey at national pageant

This upcoming 2014 summer, Ava Levin, who is a student at Fredon Elementary School, will compete for the national title of USA National Princess, as well as thousands of dollars in college scholarship money.

Along with outstanding young women from across the United States, Ava who is the reigning New Jersey Princess, will travel to Daytona Beach, FL June 24 to 28, 2014 for the highly anticipated USA National Miss Scholarship Pageant.

Representing the state, Ava will compete in evening gown, role model (volunteering/charities), media relations, interview and a runway fashion show event in order to claim the honor of being crowned the national winner.

Ava is a bright, ambitious 9-year old. She has maintained an average GPA of A or better and is the G.A.T.E Art program (Gifted and Talented Art) in her school.

She is involved in numerous competitive sports, school clubs, and community volunteering through the Girl Scouts.

She is also an advocate/volunteer for O.S.C.A.R (One Step Closer Animal Rescue) based in Sparta.

She wants to share with everyone that dreams are possible if you set realistic goals, prioritize and do what you love to do.

Ava has been involved in many activities within her school and community. She’s been a candidate for her school’s vice president’s position and participated in various school clubs including Newspaper Club, Harry Potter Club and the school’s annual talent show.

She has won the drawing competition for her schools’ directory cover as well as the Presidential Physical Fitness Award. She is a USAIGC Bronze Level gymnast at Giant Gymnastics and is a competitive summer swimmer for the Kittatinny Barracudas Swim team County Champions for the last four years. She also studies the piano with Laura Morrow on a weekly bases for the past two years.

She will also be finishing up with recreational Cheer through KMFL. Lastly, Ava has just signed with Wilhelmina Model and Talent agency to help her dream of acting and modeling.

In the past month she has made numerous appearances, including Saddle Up for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, OSCAR Pet adoption Animal Hospital of Sussex County, Augusta, Applebee’s Fredon Township Boy Scout Troop 92 Fundraiser, OSCAR Pet adoption at Nature’s Cover and Hayek’s grand reopening.

On Nov. 3, Ava met with Governor Chris Christie, Senator Steve Oroho, Surrogate, Gary Chiusano, Sheriff, Mike Strada and Fredon Mayor, Carl Larzzo

USA National Miss provides young women ages 4 to 24 with the opportunity to combine their love of pageantry with other optional elements to custom design their pageant experience- whether their focus is on fashion and modeling, or talent, education, community service, and mentorship.
