Girl scouts create 'Hearts of Hope'

BYRAM — Lenape Valley Senior Girl Scout Troop 418 held an afternoon paint with purpose event that brought together over 100 participants to paint hearts and create cards written with messages of hope.
We had a special guest, Betty Garger, CEO of Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey, attend and meet with the many Girl Scouts who came out for an afternoon of creative fun and service. Troop 418 delivered 180 gifts of hope to the Morristown Memorial Hospital NICU, where twin members of the troop "graduated" over 14 years ago, being born premature at 29 weeks gestation. This service event was truly a wonderful way to discover, connect, and take action in the true spirit of Girl Scouting, and an example of how much Girl Scouting gives back to it's community. We wish to give thanks to all the members of Lenape Valley Girl Scouts which serves Byram, Netcong, and Stanhope communities for supporting this event.
