— Kim DeCarlo started Jersey Shirts and Designs in 2014. Since then, the business has grown exponentially and successfully competed with on-line counterparts. Jersey Shirts and Designs specializes in screen printing on any apparel, hats, or accessories. They also do embroidery and graphic design. Whether you have your own logo or are looking to create a logo, Jersey Shirts and Designs can help and has proven the test of time. You also don't have to order a certain number of product, Want one or two, not a problem.
Before DeCarlo became the owner of Jersey Shirts and Designs, she was a waitress fro 28 years. “All my life I imagined myself to be the one owning a business and although it took my 28 years to realize that I needed to make that change, I am truly satisfied with my dream,” she said. “Someone once said 'A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination, and handwork.' I am proud to say that I am the owner of my own business by chasing my lifetime dream. It is a satisfying feeling when I am able to help others and make them happy.”
In October of 2014, DeCarlo began to train with the former owner and then, as the new year of January 2015 rang in, she became the new owner. “This business may be my dream, but it is not about me,” DeCarlo said. “I customize these shirts for my loyal and faithful customers. These people bring me joy, and are the reason as to why all of my employees here at Jersey Shirts and Design enjoy doing what we do. Our motto here at Jersey Shirts and Designs is 'You wont wait, because we’ll never be late” and that's our plan to never have an unsatisfied customer.'”
DeCarlo said, “Before you knew it as Jersey Shirts, but the name changed to Jersey Shirts and Designs when I took over. We customize in sports, contractors, fundraisers, and school apparel, there is a shirt for every occasion! We also have a full line of safety gear that can be customized for whatever your needs are. Not only do we print but we also do embroidering for all outerwear apparel.”
DeCarlo shares the space with a sign business, but they are completely separate entities.
DeCarlo keeps up with technology and innovation to keep her business going strong. To this end, she recently purchases a “direct to garment machine” that allows her to print garments with unlimited color and detail. In sharp contrast to her competitors, she has no minimum amount customers must order so she can do as few or as many custom designs. “If a customer just wants one shirt or sweatshirt, that's fine here,” she said.
