Students from Kittatinny Regional High School earned top honors in the 2026 New Jersey Teen Arts program, with several works selected for statewide recognition.
Out of 545 total submissions — including 412 two-dimensional and 133 three-dimensional pieces — only four were chosen for the New Jersey State Teen Arts Tour. Among them was Maya Moquette’s piece, “Silenced,” which will travel to counties across the state as part of the exhibition.
Additionally, just 20 works were selected for the State Teen Arts Festival. Carly Wikander’s piece, “Seeing Spots,” was among those chosen.
Several Kittatinny students were also nominated for publication in the 2026 issue of Sussex County Community College’s literary and arts magazine, Idiom. Selected works include “St. Patrick’s Cathedral” and “Dragon Master” by Enrico Brex, and “Beneath a Borrowed Moon” by Marissa Maggio.
