— The KRHS High School Student Council attended the New Jersey Association of Student Councils fall conference held on October 10 at The College of New Jersey.
The conference is aimed at training students to be the leaders of the future. Here student council members get to network and share ideas with student council members from other schools.
The day began with keynote speaker Phil Gugliuzza. He calls himself an inspirational speaker because he hopes to inspire the students’ creativity which can lead to amazing outcomes. Gugliuzza told the students if they were looking for heroes they could start in that very auditorium. People like their teachers who teach because they love to inspire. They should be looking at the everyday people around them. Those are the true heroes in their lives.
Following the keynote speaker was a presentation by Mentalist Brian Imbus. He wowed the audience with his special appearance. Afterwards, the students and advisors went into different workshops to continue this day of inspiration. Ending the day with a meet and greet, to hear ideas from other schools.
