KRHS student tries for state geography bee

Newton — Thank you to all who participated in our School Level competition of the National Geographic Bee on January 11, 2018. Congratulations to 8th grader, Michael Mauro, who is our Kittatinny National Geographic Bee champion. Second place went to 7th grader, Austin Babcock, and third place went to 7th grader, Ariana Begraft. Each year thousands of schools in the United States participate in the National Geographic Bee. This year marks the 30th anniversary. The contest is designed for students to answer questions on geography and to inspire students’ curiosity about the world. Michael Mauro will be taking a qualifying test; up to 100 of the top scorers on that test in each state will then be eligible to compete in their state Bee on April 6, 2018.
