Lace up
Students at Kittatinny Regional High School are always looking for ways to serve our community. This year the KRHS softball team is spearheading a week long sports fundraiser to help New Jersey children and their families battling Pediatric Cancer. All the Kittatinny spring sports teams, as well as some of their opponents, will be wearing gold shoelaces the week of May 6-11. Gold is the color dedicated to support childhood cancer. Per CureSearch.org, “every day 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. More than 40,000 children are undergoing treatment every year.”
This program is sponsored by Go 4 the Goal an organization that helps kids with cancer achieve their goals. The school purchases the laces for $5.00 each. $4.00 from every pair purchased, plus 100% of all donations received go back to helping kids with cancer and their families in New Jersey.
Kittatinny softball, baseball, girls lacrosse, boys lacrosse, girls and boys track, as well as tennis are pleased to bring awareness to this important cause. Each team that “Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer” will be playing to raise awareness and money for children battling various forms of cancer.
