On Saturday, April 20, the LakeLand Emergency Squad (Lakeland EMS) will hold its Annual Easter Egg Hunt for children who reside in Andover Borough, Andover Township, and Byram Township. Additionally, the day prior, families can enjoy seeing what it's like to color 5,000 eggs.
Saturday, April 20, Easter Egg Hunt:The Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m., rain or shine, in Wild West City on Lackawana Drive, in Byram Township. There will be more eggs than one Easter Bunny could possibly carry, five thousand eggs, in fact - all waiting to be found. There will also be prizes. There is no charge for the Easter Egg Hunt, and the Easter Bunny will attend the event and will be on hand for photographs.
Friday, April 19, the day before the Easter Egg Hunt:Any members of the public, including families, who are interested in going to the Firehouse Headquarters to watch the Friday preparation for the Saturday event, or who would like to help, are welcome to come to Lakeland Fire Department Headquarters, 221 Route 206 in Byram, on April 19, from 9 a.m. until noon to join other volunteers preparing for the event, or to simply watch as roughly 5,000 eggs are colored and organized for the next day's Easter Egg Hunt.
Note these are two separate locations, on two separate days: The April 20 Egg Hunt (10 a.m.) is on Lackawana Drive in Byram Township and that's where the egg hunt and Easter Bunny will be. Separate from that, but in preparation for that Egg Hunt event, Lakeland EMS and others will be coloring 5,000 eggs on Friday, April 19, at the Lakeland Fire Department Headquarters, located at 221 Route 206 in Byram.
