NEWTON — Camp Auxilium celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with festive clothes, beads and hats and a surprise guest, a Leprechaun.
Before the teachers caught the Leprechaun, she made a huge mess in all the classrooms looking for her pot of gold. The children made Leprechaun traps, but to no avail. After the Leprechaun was caught, Sister Theresa helped her understand she should not take things that do not belong to her.
Sister Theresa than gave the Leprechaun some gold to keep.
The Leprechaun has been visiting Camp Auxilium for 20 years. This year she taught the children life lessons.
The Camp Auxilium Staff ended the festivities by dancing the Irish Jig.
