— Kathy Milici, owner of Kathy Milici Creative, has been selected by the Society of Scribes in New York City to present a series of calligraphy workshops this year. With a focus on examples from the European writing masters of the 18th, 19th and early 20th century, Kathy teaches calligraphy, design and ornamental writing based on the era called “The Golden Age of Penmanship.”
Kathy has been selected as an instructor for the 2018 annual IAMPETH International Calligraphy Conference in Milwaukee, WI. This year, Kathy will also be instructing in Los Angeles, CA; Rutland, VT and Memphis, TN. At these locations, she will present weekend calligraphy and design workshops and a lecture series. Overseas invitations are also being considered.
As she gains more national attention for excellence in teaching, Kathy continues to be invited by state calligraphy and arts organizations to present workshops as a traveling instructor through 2020. She continues to hold small group classes in Sparta, and celebrates 39 years of local instruction this year. She also teaches privately in her home studio.
