New CASA volunteers sworn in to advocate for children in foster care
Morristown. A new class of Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers was sworn in June 5 after completing six weeks of training to serve children in foster care in Morris and Sussex counties.
A new class of Court Appointed Special Advocate volunteers was sworn in June 5 at the Morris County Courthouse by Michael Paul Wright.
The volunteers completed six weeks of training and will now be assigned to advocate for children in foster care who have experienced abuse or neglect.
CASA volunteers work directly with children and youth, helping ensure their needs and concerns are represented in court proceedings. They also help connect children with services and resources designed to support their well-being and long-term success.
”I find CASA’s contribution to be invaluable,” Wright said. “Their commitment and dedication are inspiring and play a vital role in helping vulnerable children find safety, stability, and hope for the future.”
CASA of Morris and Sussex Counties continues to recruit volunteers from throughout the community, noting that every child in foster care deserves an advocate.
