New frame shop opens in Sparta

— Rose City Framemakers has made its new home at 19 Main Street across the hall from Argosy Travel and right next door to Cloveberry. After 18 years in Madison, NJ, owner, Nicole Francoeur, decided to move her frame shop up to Sparta to be closer to home. A full service custom framing shop offering a wide selection of frame, matting and glass choices, all sales come with the design guidance of Francoeur, who is a Certified Picture Framer (CPF) and has a BFA in Printmaking.
“I have been custom framing artwork for over 25 years and I just love what I do," she said. "Every job that walks into my shop is unique and each client has his/her own take on what they would like to do with it. I strive to make each frame enhance the artwork as well as preserving it so you’ll have it for years to come. “
As a longtime supporter of small businesses, Rose City Framemakers not only carries the larger names in the framing industry like Larson Juhl, Fotiou and Maxx Moulding, but it loves to carry the smaller companies like Rustic Creations in Texas, Chester Frame Company in Connecticut, Vermont Hardwoods in Vermont and Direct Moulding in California. All matting options are from the conservation products offered by both Crescent and Bainbridge. All glass options are from Tru Vue. We have always had a computer-based point of sale system so we always give consistent pricing and your framing history is saved for reference. Fine art prints and vintage prints are also available for purchase.
Rose City Framemakers will be joining over 100 other merchants in Sparta for American Express’ Small Business Saturday on November 26. Show your support for local businesses by coming out on that day and shopping your heart out. Each participating merchant will be offering a different special.
