Octoberfest has begum in Stanhope

One of the largest celebrations of fall happens in Munich, Germany — the Oktoberfest.
Maybe you can’t travel to Munich to celebrate Oktoberfest, but the spirit of this popular event lives here in New Jersey at the Black Forest Inn.
The popular German restaurant is owned and operated by renowned Executive Chef, Heinz Aichem, Head Chef Heinrich Aichem and Barbara Aichem Koster, restaurant manager.
Saturday, Sept. 15, the Oktoberfest celebration began with fine German cuisine, imported Bavarian beers and popular German music. It will be held every Saturday and Sunday through Oct. 28.
A special menu has been created for the Oktoberfest celebration, according to the Aichems.
As always, the Black Forest Inn offers a fabulous selection of imported German beers in the tradition of Oktoberfest. Wine connoisseurs will also enjoy some of Germany’s finest reislings.
Live music also plays an important part of the celebration.
Scheduled to appear are: the Mountain Tops on Sept. 22, and 23, Emil Schanta returns on Sept. 29, Werner Goebel on Sept. 30, Emil Schanta is back on Oct. 6, Norbert Ludwig performs on Oct. 7, Emil Schanta again on Oct. 13, 14, and 20; the Mountain Tops on Oct. 20 and 27, and Norbert Ludwig on Oct. 28.
