NEWTON RoNetco Supermarkets business philosophy of being partners in caring for neighbors families, homes and communities was seen in action recently as the kitchen magicians from ShopRite volunteered their time to prepare and deliver the noon day meal at the Manna House Soup Kitchen in Newton. RoNetco donated complete turkey dinners to many of the food pantries and shelters in the area in an effort to augment dwindling supplies of food for needy residents. The volunteers took their orders from kitchen supervisor Laura Lippencott. The hot meal included turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables and more to hungry guests. Operating for 20 years, the Manna House feeds local residents in the community Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. To make a donation to Manna House, call 973-579-6517.
