On Oct. 18, several members of the Newton Robotics Team attended the Walk Now for Autism Speaks event at Nomahegan Park in Cranford.

Autism Speaks is an autism advocacy group that raises funds and public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families and society. Team Aperture #3142 proudly showed its support for autism awareness throughout the 1.5-mile stroll, and has successfully raised over $400 in donations for Autism Speaks. Each member of the team stated that they enjoyed the walk and were proud to have supported such a cause. Donations, on behalf Team Aperture #3142, can still be made to Austism Speaks by visiting www.autismspeaks.org and clicking on the donation tab.
