Sussex County Community College (SCCC) student Francesco Marando received the National Coalition of Certification Centers certification in Mechatronics.

Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary arena that applies skill sets needed in the modern automation and robotics industries. Elements of mechanics, electronics and computing are combined to create simpler, smarter systems.

SCCC’s robotics program aims to apply technology theory to real-world experiences, preparing students for careers in demand. The program’s emphasis is on the ability to think, work on a team and create.
