Scouts place U.S. flags on graves

Current high school seniors who are former members of Andover’s Girl Scout Troop 770 joined 5th grade members of Troop 96136, along with Marines Jim Brady and Clint Roy in placing flags on the graves of our local deceased United State Marines. This is a community service event that the older girls have done for the past 9 years, and have continued to be a part of even after leaving scouts, returning to help the younger girls. Brady was instrumental in teaching the girls what Memorial Day is all about, so while many were attending BBQs that weekend, these girls were remembering and honoring those who have given their lives for the freedoms enjoyed in the United States.
