Ski Team makes Sparta proud

On Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, area high schoolers participated in the first Giant Slolum of the season, with Newton and Spart turning in fast times overall and individually. Both the boys and girls varsity ski teams made Sparta proud, with every skiier put forth a great performance. It resulted in both the boys and the girls Sparta ski teams securing second place. The boys team was just one second away from placing first. Sparta's boys varsity second place finish came with a total time of 6:31:29. Newton took third place with a time of 6:50:40. Sparta girls varsity also took second place, with a finish time of 7.10.23. Sparta girls junior varsity swept the top three finishes.
