A commercial during the Super Bowl will honor the importance of journalism and journalists throughout history and today, the Washingon Post has stated. The advertisement will depcit major news events dating back to World War II and the importance of the journalists who reported that news. The ad will be narrated by actor Tom Hanks, who in 2017 played the role of Ben Bradlees, a Washington Post editor, in the movie "The Post." It's the newspaper's first time airing a Super Bowl commercial and The Washington Post today stated that the commerical aims to highlight the importance of journalism and a free press.
