NEWTON — The youth group at the First Presbyterian Church of Newton is hosting the 7th Annual Sweetheart Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. The four-course dinner includes apple-ginger butternut squash soup, an Italian antipasto salad, chicken Marsala with smashed potatoes, sautéed green beans and orange glazed carrots and assorted desserts. A vegetarian option will be available upon request. Live music will be provided by KvaveK - a keyboard, cello and violin trio. Tickets are $20 per person and must be purchased in advance. The church is located at 54 High Street in Newton. For ticket information call the church office at 973-383-4420. The proceeds from the dinner will help to offset the cost of the youth group’s summer mission trip to Oak Hill, West Virginia, where they will join 400 other youth and adults to make home repairs for low-income families and seniors.
