Youth group leads the way on annual walk

SPARTA — The Columbian Squires and Squire Roses from Saint Kateri parish led their fellow parishioners on the 2012 Sparta Crop Walk.
Each year this annual event sponsored by Church World Service, brings together various groups to help support the hungry in NJ.
The Saint Kateri team was led by Squire co-captains Jack Lubertazzi and Dominick Bartolomeo, and their group generated parish donations and on-line giving in excess of $1,000.
Top fundraisers included Squire Jack Lubertazzi, Father Patrick Rice, and Deacon Anthony Chiocco.
The Columbian Squires are the youth branch of the Knights of Columbus for Catholic men between the ages of 10 and 18 and the Squire Roses are for Catholic ladies between the ages of 10 and 18.
This walk continues the tradition of charity and unity that the Saint Kateri youth group has established.
