Pat Dillon, another Byram resident, is an office manager for a local dental office. Ambrosia has always been a part of her holiday meals, and she is asked to bring this dish when visiting for the holidays. It may be served as a salad or dessert. 1 large can fruit cocktail 1 large can sliced peaches 1 can pitted black cherries 1 can mandarin oranges 1 package miniature marshmallows 1 pint sour cream Coconut flakes (optional) Drain all fruit for several hours, occasionally stirring to reduce juice. Fold in sour cream. Add marshmallows. Cover and refrigerate; best if made night before. Stir before serving and sprinkle with coconut if desired.
