Makeover and grand opening in Andover

Andover - The 1868 House, at 122 Main Street, one of the borough’s Victorian landmarks, has been an antique shop, The Great Andover Antique Company, for the past 30 years. New owner, Tatiana Ziegler, is giving the old place a makeover and renaming it the Great Andover Antique Village. Bill and Patti Heitman sold the store in February to make way for Tatiana’s plans to turn the property into a complex of shops. In addition to the current shops on the premises, the 1868 House, The Cottage, The Carriage House and Banbury Cross, there will be several new shops including The Cellar, The Barn and others, as well as outdoor garden shops. According to Tatiana, the Village is a place where everyone can relax and have fun. While work is in progress toward making the plans a reality, the shops in the Village are planning an open house grand opening from April 20 through 23. In addition to the opportunity to visit these historic buildings and see the fine array of antiques, gifts, collectibles, jewelry which blends the new world with the old, there will be refreshments throughout the Village and a hot dog stand for the kids and the kid at heart.
